Dan Raiche runs the day-to-day operations at Monitor Software. He has been with Monitor for nearly ten years, originally joining our Decision Architects group, which was merged with another group to form Monitor Software in 2003.
Over his Monitor career Dan has sold and managed projects ranging from complex analytic software tools to general strategy consulting engagements. Dan has worked for clients in industries such as agribusiness, aerospace, consumer products, energy, mining, and pharmaceuticals.
Dan provides a disciplined approach to scoping, designing, and implementing software applications. His experience covers many types of software including product costing, competitive dynamics, manufacturing plant and warehouse network optimization, executive dashboards and collaborative financial scenario and forecasting tools.
The following examples provide a sample of efforts Dan has sold and managed:
- A business unit forecasting and portfolio scenario tool that allows financial managers to develop robust data-driven forecasts; the system was installed at over 100 business units worldwide and is accessible from the desktops of the CEO and CFO
- A customer dashboard that integrates data from multiple legacy ERP systems and generates a consolidated view of the customer relationship – deliveries, quality, sales, profitability, and accounts receivable
- An executive tool to assess and optimize a network of manufacturing plants and warehouses for a large consumer goods manufacturer that designed a revamped network to match expected consumer demand growth for 15 years
- A web application to analyze profit opportunities within a regional energy grid by applying sophisticated algorithms that incorporate numerous complex aspects of energy generation, distribution and consumption
Dan began his professional career as an Edison Engineer at GE Aerospace in Pittsfield, Massachusetts and eventually worked his way eastward across the state. He received his MBA from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts. In addition, Dan holds both a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (Electrical Engineering) from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
